Then, after the epoxy has cured, the surface is sealed with the elastomeric waterproofer for roofs DS-220 (p. 243), the polyurethane waterproofer for roofs HYDROSTOP-PU (p. 258) or with the two-component polyurea based roof waterproofer WATERPROOF 500 (p. 272). If another lining is to be installed over the waterproofing coating, then choose a cementitious waterproofer such as D-1 (p. 231), D-1 FLEX (p. 231), HYDROSTOP WATERTANK (p. 260) HYDROSTOP ROOF (p. 258) or TWO COMPONENT HYDROSTOP (p. 257) . Finally, we access the lower surface of the slab again and proceed to render/plaster, ideally with the flexible repair plaster MEGAFIX (p. 261). Once the plaster has dried thoroughly, prime with AQUAFIX (p. 230) or SOLVENT BASED PRIMER (p. 276) and paint the surface with the luxury emulsion paint SUPER (p. 268) or the ecological emulsion paint SUPER ECO (p. 269). CRACKS special subjects NOTE 1: In case we have identified at the top of the slab cracks that are not so deep as to cause moisture on the underside of the slab, after slightly opening them and cleaning them thoroughly, pour into those cracks DS-220 (p. 243) or HYDROSTOP-PU (p. 258). Dilute either waterproofer with water at a ratio of 1:1 so as to penetrate in the depth of the crack. Continue by applying the same waterproofing product over the crack undiluted to seal. Note 2: Very important! The cracks that appear on the concrete slab, and always depending on their type, their size or the number and position of them, might influence the structural integrity of the slab. For this reason and for the dissolution of any doubt, it is advisable when identifying them and before proceeding with any repairs, to contact a professional (engineer) and receive instructions on the necessary steps and the proper order of applying the corrective measures. NOTE 3: The steps described above are a basic, common tactic for remediating such a problem. They can be altered for each case, depending on the technical specificities and the conditions of the problem(s).
