298 In early 2000, the European Union created and adopted a new classification system for adhesives and grouts. According to European Standards, classes EN 12004 and EN 12002 were created for adhesives and EN 13888 for joint fillers, facilitating the easy identification and classification of products depending on their scope of application and their technical specifications. The classification of products is now based on performance and application characteristics and is referred to as “symbols of compliance” on the packaging and brochures of the classified products. The above also applies to other product categories, such as: The CE marking is a certified guarantee for all types of products, with regards to the minimum characteristics required by the applicable standards. These characteristics remain unaltered for all relevant quantities. The verification and compliance procedures for each product are defined in detail in the European technical specifications. All products are tested and comply with the appropriate European standards and regulations. Those products that do not bear the CE marking, are not required to comply with European standards. Ιt must be mentioned that for all DUROSTICK products not bearing the CE marking, the company certifications (ISO 9001 since 2000 and ISO 14001), the well-organized and exceptionally equipped Chemical Laboratory as well as the Properties Testing Laboratory, both located in the premises of DUROSTICK, as well as the highly skilled scientific staff and the high tech, modern facilities together with state-of-the-art new mechanical equipment, are the strongest guarantees for the quality and reliability of its products. Ask for the DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE for all products bearing the CE mark. DUROSTICK has studied, designed, and certified the Integrated External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) with the distinctive title ‘THERMOSEAL’. The building products of the system have received certification of the production process (Certificate No. 2884-CPR-00103) and are in compliance with the applicable requirements of EAD 040083-00-0404 and the European Technical Approvals EΤΑ 13/0006 and EΤΑ 13/0007. The system is registered in Class 1 *, based on measurements made in the laboratories of BVFS in Austria. * (highest possible class) European Standards • rendering and plastering mortars (ΕΝ 998-1) • masonry mortars (ΕΝ 998-2) • screed materials and floor screeds (ΕΝ 13813) • admixtures for concrete, mortar, grout (ΕΝ 934-2) • products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures (ΕΝ 1504) • products for gypsum board joints (ΕΝ 13963) The tile and special building component adhesives are tested under the European Standard EN 12004 and EN 12002 in the following: • Open time • Slip • Tensile adhesion strength after: - 28 days in normal environment conditions - Heat ageing at +70°C - Immersion in water - 25 freeze-thaw cycles • Transverse deformation after a 3-point bending load Renders and plasters are tested under the European Standard EN 998-1 in the following: • Compressive strength after 28 days of curing • Capillary water absorption • Adhesion strength • Thermal conductivity • Reaction to fire Masonry mortars are tested under the European Standard EN 998-2 in the following: • Compressive strength after ageing of 28 days • Capillary water absorption • Adhesion strength • Reaction to fire • Thermal conductivity • Chloride ion content QUALITY CONTROLED EN 12004 QUALITY CONTROLED EN 998-1 QUALITY CONTROLED EN 998-2
